The presenter’s connection with the computers and multimedia equipment in the auditorium is a podium with a touch panel for remote control. The system has video playback, a document camera, a microphone and two computers, with a fast web connection, controlled from a single keyboard. A personal laptop computer may be easily and quickly connected via the provided ports and cables housed in a small metal cubby atop the cabinet. USB extension ports are located in the cubby, also., as well as ports for connecting other user provided AV equipment. While the podium is not truly mobile, and must remain in the center of the stage, it can be turned in either direction on a short umbilical cable.
