This type of media classroom has one or two data projectors, one screen for each projector, and a smaller desk-style console. The media suite is touch-screen controlled with the following A-V equipment: a Windows computer, a Macintosh OS-X computer, a VCR/DVD player, and a Document Camera. Features include a Fast Ethernet web connection, accessible USB ports, provisions for connecting a personal laptop computer to the display system, and 120v AC power.
The height of the desk surface is adjustable and may be used seated or standing.
A video overview of general console use can be found at the Center for Instructional Technologies website. While the console functions described in the video are all available in this room, the example console depicted is an older iteration.
The Desk Style console does not require a key as do previous console designs.
Professors, graduate student faculty, and qualified presenters who wish to access older equipment, as well, may obtain a key well in advance of their presentation by visiting Mezes Hall Room 2.302, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 3:30 P.M.
